astral flow TRADER RESEARCH
OBSERVE. TEST. KEEP THE EVIDENCE.

You see a setup.
Does it hold up?

Sweeps. Delta. Absorption. The chart tells a story. Astral Flow tests whether that story predicts what happens next—and whether anything remains after costs.

Keep using ATAS or TradingView. We’re building the research memory behind your trading.

01 / WHAT THE EVIDENCE SAYS

A rejected idea is a useful result.

These are actual results from the current definitions. They do not settle whether every trader’s interpretation of a setup works.

NO DEMONSTRATED EDGE

Absorption, on its own

Heavy aggression with little price progress sounds compelling. Under our first definition, the 15-minute result is statistically inconclusive.

INTERESTING EFFECT · NOT TRADABLE EVIDENCE

Short-term mean reversion

A small gross effect appears in the test period. The assumed costs overwhelm it, and it fails the full control and stability requirements.

INSUFFICIENT DATA

Sweep + absorption

The combined rule is highly selective. Its gross expectancy is negative in all three periods; the samples are too small for a reliable conclusion.

Binance BTCUSDT perpetuals, July 2022–June 2023, plus one warmup day. 366 days loaded; 7 quarantined; 358 analysis days eligible. 1,384,420,468 trades passed the dataset’s day-level gates, including warmup. Event occurrences overlap and are not independent samples. These forward-return studies use a cost scenario, not simulated fills.

No NQ data has been tested here. A screenshot can document an idea; reconstructing NQ order flow requires the relevant contract’s historical trade data.

02 / BETTER IDEAS START WITH REAL EXAMPLES

“This is what I’m seeing.”

That’s the starting point. When a setup catches your eye, keep the screenshot and your own explanation. You don’t need to learn another platform.

“NQ swept London low. Sellers kept hitting the bid, but price stopped going lower. Then delta flipped.”Illustrative observation—not a tested result

What makes an example useful

  1. The chart and the clock

Screenshot or video, instrument and contract, date, timestamp and chart time zone.

  2. What you noticed

In your words: what stood out, why it mattered, and whether you took it or passed.

  3. The decision, then the outcome

Entry, stop and exit if there was a trade. Keep what you knew at entry separate from what happened later.

Start with 20–50 examples, including losing and skipped setups. We’ll review them together before deciding what to formalize. This public page does not collect or upload private observations.

From an observation to evidence.

Keep the original idea → define a measurable claim → test historical occurrences → compare against simple baselines and costs → check unseen periods.

An AI can help organize and formalize the idea. The deterministic engine calculates the results. Trading automation comes only after the evidence survives.
